Morey Creative Studios is thrilled to announce we have been selected to lead the 2020 New York City HubSpot User Group (NYC HUG).
The marketing industry has evolved exponentially over the last few decades, encompassing everything from traditional advertising to digital promotions and more nuanced inbound strategies. HubSpot, in particular, has established a foothold and the community that has sprung up around it is a special one.
And while we are (admittedly) a little biased here, there’s no denying that you’d be hard-pressed to find more passionate marketers, sales folks, business people and creatives.
For those who may be new to the larger HubSpot universe, let’s take a moment to consider why HubSpot User Groups are so unique and why Morey Creative Studios is so honored to be leading the New York City chapter.
What is a HubSpot User Group (HUG)?
The HubSpot User Group, or HUGs as they’re affectionately known, is a free in-person networking and learning event that occurs once a quarter. Though they’re designed with HubSpot users in mind, you don’t have to be a HubSpot customer or user to attend.
Each HUG event provides an opportunity for HubSpot users to connect, network, and improve their strategy and software skills. Typically, each HUG is hosted by a HubSpot Agency Partner that determines which marketing, sales, or service related topics will be discussed. Additionally, they’re charged with inviting HubSpot specialists or industry experts interested in conducting presentations about such topics.
In the 10 years since inaugural HUGs sprouted up in the Boston area (not too from HubSpot’s Cambridge headquarters), the HubSpot User Group Program now counts thousands of members encompassing more than 150 unique HUGs in nearly as many cities and at least three dozen countries across the globe.
Passing of the Baton Sprocket
Morey Creative Studios was thrilled and humbled to learn that we would be transitioning into the role of NYC HUG leader with the full endorsement and support of our friends at SmartAcre, a Pennsylvania-based firm. Over the last three years, CEO David Snyder and the SmartAcre team have transformed the once small gathering into a highly-anticipated quarterly event that is now nearly 1,000 members strong.
What’s in store for the #NYCHUG in 2020?
We cannot wait for you and the other members of the #NYCHUG community to join us in the months ahead! We’re starting things off with an exclusive ABM Tools Workshop featuring Kyle Jepson and Ethan Kopit from HubSpot and Sam Kelly from RollWorks (a division of NextRoll), which is focused on creating and implementing an effective ABM strategy with HubSpot.
**Update: the in-person event on March 4th has been cancelled.
A virtual HUG will be held in its place. Register for the event here.**
If you’re a HubSpot user living or working in the greater New York City area (and you haven’t already) be sure to register as a member of the New York City HubSpot User Group for all the latest updates and HUG announcements! Plus, follow @NYCHUG on Twitter and Instagram for a behind the scenes look at the events.
Do you have an NYC HUG-related question or are interested in speaking at an upcoming gathering? Whatever’s on your mind, you can always reach us at NYCHUG@moreycreative.com.
