On this episode of "Inbound & Down," hosts Jon Sasala and Danielle Esposito discuss whether working with an inbound marketing agency is right for you, and share tips on ensuring success. We also have a special guest stop in from the pit to talk about incorporating interviews into blogs to create killer content.
You have two options when it comes to your inbound marketing department.
You can either create an in-house team, or you can hire an inbound marketing agency to handle your marketing for you.
If you’re a larger company interested in inbound marketing, the latter may not be the best option. Chances are you already have an internal marketing team, so you may choose to train them to become inbound marketing experts, instead. On the other hand, if you are a smaller business, working with an inbound marketing agency holds huge advantages.
An inbound marketing agency can save you money. When you consider the cost of hiring an inbound agency vs. those associated with hiring additional employees (salary, benefits, etc.) to set up your own internal shop, retaining an established, reputable agency is always less expensive. One solid agency can do the work of 10 employees, for a fraction of the price.
Experience is another asset an inbound agency brings to the table. They know what works, they know what doesn’t, and they know exactly how to bring you success.
“One of the key things on working with an agency and being successful with it is that they come with experience, and an agency comes with the expertise," explains Morey Creative's Senior Strategist Danielle Esposito. "They’ve done it and they’ve been through it, with multiple industries, so they know your pain points better than you might think.
"We might see a problem that they don’t even know they’re going to come across,” she adds.
Key Takeaways From This Episode:
- Don’t be deterred by the price of hiring an inbound marketing agency. It’s an investment!
- Trust what your agency is doing.
- Collaborate with your agency; you know your industry better than they do!
- Choose an agency specializing in the skills your company lacks.
